Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Rosebuds Sisters website, purchasing tickets to our events, accessing the Leaders Portal, or participating in Rosebuds Sisters online community spaces. These terms apply alongside any additional terms or information provided for a particular event, programme, activity or service.
About Us
Rosebuds Sisters ("Rosebuds", "we", "us" or "our") is a UK-based not-for-profit Muslim women's community organisation, with communities and chapters across the United Kingdom and internationally. If you have any questions about these Terms and Conditions, please contact us at hello@rosebudssisters.org.
Use of Our Website
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not use our website in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or misleading; infringes the rights of another person; attempts to gain unauthorised access to our website, systems or accounts; interferes with the operation or security of our website; introduces malicious software or harmful material; or uses Rosebuds Sisters content or services for unauthorised commercial purposes. We may restrict or suspend access to parts of our website where reasonably necessary for security, misuse, maintenance or breach of these terms.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, content created by Rosebuds Sisters on this website — including our branding, written materials, graphics and original resources — belongs to Rosebuds Sisters or is used with appropriate permission. You may view and share publicly available Rosebuds content for personal and non-commercial purposes, provided that it is not altered in a misleading way and Rosebuds Sisters is appropriately acknowledged where relevant. You must not reproduce, sell, commercially exploit, modify or distribute Rosebuds Sisters materials for commercial purposes without our prior permission. Certain photographs, videos, logos, resources or other materials appearing on our website may belong to third parties and remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
Event Bookings and Tickets
Where Rosebuds Sisters sells or manages tickets for an event, programme or activity, booking is subject to availability and any additional conditions shown on the relevant booking page. Before purchasing a ticket, you should check the event details carefully, including the date, time, location, eligibility requirements and any specific conditions relating to the event. Your booking will normally be confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation by email or through the relevant ticketing platform. Prices and applicable booking fees will be displayed before you complete your purchase. Where a third-party ticketing or payment provider is used, its own terms and privacy arrangements may also apply. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where there are reasonable grounds to do so, including suspected fraud, misuse, a genuine pricing or listing error, or where participation requirements have not been met. Where we cancel a paid booking in these circumstances, any refund due will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the booking.
Refunds, Cancellations and Transfers
Unless otherwise stated on the booking page, tickets for Rosebuds Sisters events taking place on a specific date are generally non-refundable where you simply change your mind or are unable to attend. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have. If Rosebuds Sisters cancels an event for which you purchased a ticket directly from us, we will normally offer a refund of the ticket price paid. If an event is materially changed or rescheduled, we will provide information about the options available to ticket holders. Where ticket transfers are permitted, you may contact us to request a transfer to another eligible attendee. Transfers are subject to the requirements of the particular event and cannot always be guaranteed. Any event-specific refund, cancellation or transfer terms displayed when you book will also apply. Where a booking has been made through an external ticketing partner, refunds may need to be processed through that provider.
Event Changes
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may require us to change an event's venue, time, programme, speaker, facilitator or other arrangements. Where a significant change occurs, we will take reasonable steps to inform registered attendees. Changes to speakers, programme content or minor scheduling arrangements do not necessarily constitute cancellation of the event.
Attendance and Conduct at Rosebuds Events
We want Rosebuds events to be safe, respectful and welcoming spaces. By attending a Rosebuds event or programme, you agree to behave respectfully towards other attendees, volunteers, speakers, venue staff and organisers. We may refuse admission or ask an attendee to leave where their behaviour is unsafe, abusive, seriously disruptive, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise inappropriate. Any decision to remove an attendee will be made reasonably and with regard to the circumstances.
Photography and Recording
Photography or filming may take place at some Rosebuds Sisters events. Where appropriate, attendees will be informed about photography or filming arrangements. Where an event requires specific consent for photography, recording or use of an individual's image, we will seek that consent where required. Attendees must respect any instructions concerning photography, filming or recording and must not record or publish another person's private information without appropriate permission.
Children and Family Events
Some Rosebuds Sisters activities are designed for children or families. Unless we expressly state otherwise, a parent, guardian or responsible adult remains responsible for supervising any child attending with them. Additional safeguarding, supervision or participation requirements may apply to particular children's programmes and will be communicated separately where relevant.
Leaders Portal Access
The Rosebuds Sisters Leaders Portal is intended only for authorised Rosebuds leaders and other approved users. Users must keep their login details confidential; not share access with another person; use information and resources in the portal only for authorised Rosebuds purposes; respect confidential or internal information; and notify Rosebuds Sisters if they believe their account has been compromised. We may suspend or remove access where a leadership role ends, access is no longer required, security is compromised or these terms or Rosebuds governance requirements have been breached. Access to the Leaders Portal does not give users ownership of Rosebuds Sisters materials, databases or confidential information.
WhatsApp Groups, Communities and Channels
Rosebuds Sisters operates WhatsApp groups, communities and channels to help sisters connect with their local community. By participating in an official Rosebuds WhatsApp space, you agree to communicate respectfully and follow any group rules provided by the relevant administrators. Members must not bully, harass or threaten others; share discriminatory, defamatory or seriously offensive material; misuse another member's personal information; add members to external groups or mailing lists without appropriate permission; use Rosebuds spaces for unauthorised advertising, fundraising or promotion; or share confidential information obtained through Rosebuds without appropriate permission. Administrators may remove posts or participants where reasonably necessary to protect the purpose, safety or integrity of the community. Rosebuds Sisters is not responsible for every statement or piece of content independently posted by individual participants. However, concerns about inappropriate content should be reported to the relevant group administrator or Rosebuds Sisters. WhatsApp is operated by a third party and its own terms and privacy practices also apply.
Leaders, Volunteers and Local Chapters
Rosebuds Sisters operates through a network of volunteer leaders, volunteers and local communities. Local leaders and volunteers are expected to follow Rosebuds Sisters policies, safeguarding arrangements, branding guidance and governance requirements where applicable. Unless expressly authorised in writing, an individual leader or volunteer does not have authority to enter into contracts, financial commitments or legal arrangements on behalf of Rosebuds Sisters. Local activities may also be subject to additional venue, event or programme requirements.
Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website and communications may contain links to external websites, ticketing platforms, payment providers, charities, partner organisations and other services. These third parties operate independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies. Rosebuds Sisters is not responsible for the availability, security or content of third-party websites or services that we do not control. The presence of a link or reference does not necessarily mean that Rosebuds Sisters endorses every statement, product or service offered by that third party.
Availability of Our Website and Services
We aim to keep our website and online services available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that they will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available. We may temporarily suspend or change website functionality for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Rosebuds Sisters will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when an agreement was entered into or for losses arising from matters outside our reasonable control, except where the law provides otherwise. Where you are acting as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights. Participants remain responsible for following safety instructions, assessing their own suitability for activities where appropriate, and informing organisers of any relevant requirements requested for the safe delivery of an activity.
Events and Activities Provided by Partners
Some Rosebuds Sisters events, trips, fundraising activities or programmes may be delivered wholly or partly by external charities, travel providers, venues, instructors or other partner organisations. Where another organisation is responsible for delivering part of an activity, its terms, safety arrangements and booking conditions may also apply. Where appropriate, Rosebuds Sisters will make this clear when promoting or arranging the relevant activity.
Privacy
Our use of personal information is governed by the Rosebuds Sisters Privacy Policy. Please read our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, retain and protect personal information.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in Rosebuds Sisters activities, services, legal requirements or operational arrangements. The current version will be published on our website together with the date it was last updated. Changes will apply from the date the updated terms are published unless otherwise stated. Any booking or agreement already entered into will remain subject to applicable law and any terms that applied when the agreement was made, unless a change is lawfully agreed.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you have a concern or dispute, we encourage you to contact Rosebuds Sisters first so that we can try to resolve the matter informally. Nothing in these terms is intended to prevent a consumer from exercising any right they may have to bring proceedings in another UK jurisdiction where applicable law gives them that right.
